Dr. David BOUHJITI is a nuclear civil engineer who graduated from the prestigious French engineering Schools of Mines.
He holds a PhD in civil engineering and construction material sciences from the University of Grenoble Alpes in France. During his 10-year journey, Dr. BOUHJITI has spent half of this time within the private sector contributing to the assessment of nuclear buildings under seismic and severe accident loads using digital twinning techniques and has been involved in periodic review and Probabilistic Safety Assessment studies. Dr. BOUHJITI then joined the French Nuclear Safety and Radiation Protection (ASNR) as a confirmed researcher with enlarged scope of expertise covering ageing of structures and components, LTO management and methodological developments and innovation.
He is now Head of the structural performance modelling and analysis laboratory.
Dr. David BOUHJITI has over 40 publications involving more than 50 national and international authors in the domains of numerical modelling of damage and leakage in concrete, modelling of non-linear behaviour under beyond design loads and stochastic finite elements modelling approaches.
