Description
Boris Jeremic is a Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of California, Davis. His work advances modeling, simulation, and analysis of the elastic and inelastic, as well as deterministic and stochastic, behavior of civil engineering solids and structures, with particular emphasis on the quality, reliability, and practical application of computational predictions.
He leads the development of the Real-ESSI Simulator (http://real-essi.info), an advanced computational platform for engineering analysis that rigorously accounts for both epistemic (modeling) and aleatory (parametric) uncertainties in the response of solids and structural systems.
Before joining academia, Professor Jeremic worked in civil engineering design practice in the former Yugoslavia and Switzerland and gained field experience during the construction of the Bekhme Dam project in Iraq.
Boris Jeremic is among the main authors of the IAEA Tecdoc related to soil-structure analyses of nuclear installations. He is author of one book on nonlinear finite element analysis and several chapters in other reference books. Finally, he is author of more than 160 papers published in scientific journals and conferences.
